Flavel House Museum
Completed in 1885, this Queen Anne style house was home to Captain George Flavel (a noted bar pilot and one of Astoria's most influential citizens) and his family. This lovely home was occupied by Flavel descendants until 1934. The home has been restored to accurately portray the elegance of the Victorian period and the history of the Flavel family. A carriage house which is located on the property houses a Visitor Center, museum store, exhibit hall and the administrative offices of the Clatsop County Historical Society. Located at the corner of 8th Street and Duane Street in Astoria, OR.
